We are currently touring our Red Riding Hood fairytale theatre show throughout the UK to schools, libraries and venues. We have performed to different audiences and are used to working with different ages, abilities and understanding. Little Red Riding Hood and Friends is a fun, fast paced show with lots of chances for interaction with the audience and is a definite alternative to your traditionally told fairytale!
Little Red Riding Hood’s friend arrives but seems to have a problem, the fairytale book has no pages to tell the story from! He keeps trying to tell the story but needs help from the audience to remember all the characters from Red Riding Hood’s mum, dad and grandma. In a panic, he calls up Red Riding Hood’s best friend Cinderella, who arrives dancing a conga with Jack’s Baked Beans Band and suggests auditions to find the Wolf that can tell us how to end the story. A fine introduction to theatre that presents a variety of fairytales.
There’s lots of chances to take part in this show as an audience member, as we always get children up to become part of Cinderella’s backing band, audition to be the Wolf and also help Red Riding Hood’s dad cut down the trees with his axe!
This is a very flexible production, and we are used to performing it in all different settings from village halls, fields, festivals, theatre stages and even in a hospital! An ideal show if you have great weather, as we can also play inside or out.
