About Us
Booster Cushion Theatre was formed in 1989, specifically to work with children to encourage them to take a greater interest in books. Since then Booster Cushion Theatre has performed to over 400,000 people all over the country providing quality work with care and commitment, and continues to do so.
All of Booster Cushion Theatre’s shows are completely portable and can be performed inside or out, the technical requirements being minimal. We just need a performance space of 4m x 4m x 2.5m. Booster Cushion also provides its own publicity material to venues. Booster Cushion Theatre enjoys good relationships with very many schools, education authorities, libraries, museums and theatre venues that have been built up over the years.
The shows are kept very fresh by being consistently played in different contexts. All the shows involve a high level of audience participation by the children and are designed to foster a feeling of strong involvement in the event.

Booster Cushion cares about the places and people that we work with, so safety is at the forefront of everything we do. We hold a £5 million Public Liability insurance policy, all our performers are CRB checked and all equipment holds a PAT certificate after being checked by qualified electricians.
