Fairytale Show For Children

For 25 years, Booster has been specialising in making comical retellings of fairytales. All of our shows tour throughout the UK and we aim to make our shows with lots of participation and imagination to encourage the audience watching to make their own versions of fairytales.

Red Riding Hood show

Little Red Riding Hood and Friends is a fast and funny solo show with a comical mixture of fairytales. Little Red’s friend arrives to tell the story but when he goes to look in his book – there’s no pages! He doesn’t know what to do, but then suddenly sees the audience in front of him – they can help him to tell the story. So everyone remembers Little Red’s family and we get to meet them from Red’s mum giving her lunch, to her dad who’s just back from working with the Queen of Hearts and a granny who is very sleepy.

But then when we get to the forest, it seems the story keeps getting muddled and the best person to ask is Cinderella, Red’s best friend. She arrives dancing with Jack’s Baked Beans Band, finds her good twin sister and then finds the end of the story by looking for the wolf! Unfortunately the wolf has dissapeared so we might just have to find one hiding in the audience instead..

Red Riding Hood for KS1

When we make a fairytale show for children, we always aim to make it as wacky and as colourful as possible, but also as flexible as possible so it can fit into any kind of event you are planning. Whether it be a performance for a school, theatre or library or if it’s for an outside festival – a Booster show is adaptable to all kinds of spaces and weather. We want to bring theatre everywhere, to everyone.
