Booster Cushion Theatre specialises in making theatre for children, and has performed to groups of KS1 children for over 25 years. A traditional tales performance for KS1 is a great way to encourage them to take a greater interest in topics they may be learning about or introduce them to live theatre. A Booster Cushion Theatre performance is funny, with lots of slapstick and silly wordplay as well as lots of chances for the audience to join in! Old McDonald and the Three Pigs Plus…is a comical mixture of the traditional fairytale and the well known nursery rhyme, told through a 5m wide book with 2m pop ups. The Three Pigs are fed up of singing EIEIO every day on Old McDonald’s barn on the farm, and decide to move out. On their way across the farm, they meet lots of new animal friends and see all the different foods and crops that are growing. With the help of some audience farm hands, we get to pretend to be the new animals, sing a comical verison of the Old McDonald nursery rhyme, and find out what our favourite foods are.But soon the Wolf shows up as the Pigs try to build their houses, and we need the audience’s help to scare him away before he blows them down!
