Booster Cushion Theatre is currently touring our Old McDonald childrens theatre show. We have been touring throughout the UK for over 25 years and specialise in working with children. This fun story is ideal for children up to KS1 with lots of participation from the audience. Some pictures of the show below are from our last visit to the ‘Everybody’s Reading 2014’ festival in Leicester, where we performed in 4 libraries throughout the borough.
Old McDonald and the Three Pigs Plus is a comical show featuring a 5m wide concertina book with 2.5m pop ups! The pigs get fed up singing ‘eieio’ and move out of the barn to the other side of the farm. On their way to the other side of the farm, we learn lots about the fields that grow on the farms and pick our favourite fruit and vegetables!
On their journey, we get to meet loads of their friends on the farm, where audience members get to pretend to be animals, using our silly soft props! The pigs finally get to build their houses, only to be faced by a hungry (not at all frightening) wolf. With huffs and puffs, and lots of dog toys to scare away the wolf, can the audience help the three pigs to scare him away?
This colourful, solo show is ideal for younger children, playing from 3 years old and up. The children help identify farm produce, sing, take part as animals and scare away the wolf. This show has no scary parts, making it ideal as a special treat for children or their first experience of seeing a show.
