Booster Cushion Theatre for Children are currently touring an Old McDonald children’s theatre show, which is ideal for nurseries and children up to KS1. ‘Old McDonald and the Three Pigs Plus…’ has toured throughout the UK for several years and has become a favourite option for venues, schools and libraries who want to give children a first introduction into theatre as our shows are fun, accessible and friendly. This production features a Big Book, 5m wide with 2.5m pop ups.
‘Old McDonald and the Three Pigs Plus…’ weaves the well known story of the Three Pigs with the easy to learn rhyme Old McDonald Had A Farm. The Three Pigs are living on Old McDonald’s farm and getting fed up of singing eieio every day in their barn. So they decide to move out of the barn and on their way across the farm, they meet loads of farm animals and the fields that are growing. But when they start to build their new houses, the (not so scary) Wolf decides that he’s going to blow down their houses and it’s up to the audience to help stop him!
There’s lots of chances to help in this show, as our narrator, Old McDonald’s farmhand needs loads of help to sing the songs, answer his questions and read the Big Book! We always get up at least 15 children from the audience who get to take part as the farm animals, identifying produce from the fields and even one child turns into the Three Pigs!
